Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cup rolled oats
  2. 1 cup water or unsweetened almond milk
  3. 3-4 Ajwa dates (chopped)
  4. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  5. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
  7. A pinch of salt
Instructions:

Cook the Oats: In a small saucepan, bring the water or almond milk to a boil. Add the oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add Dates and Flavoring: 

Stir in the chopped Ajwa dates, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the oats are tender and the dates are softened.
